Along with the launch of Google Genomics, Google announces that it will use the tool to look for the genetic causes of autism. Private search forms like Google Genomics, Apple ResearchKit, and others that do not receive funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), are not bound by the same federal regulations as those receiving federal support.
