Roman Empire armies reach the Atlantic and cross into what is now called "Great Britain."
Date: 43
A primary strategy of the Roman Empire is to force conquered people to become soldiers–absorbing the colonized by forcing them into roles as perpetrators of violence. Romans establish marketplaces, bring stories of Jesus to Britain and expand trade routes that increase the island’s connection to the lands that are to the east, including what is now called Europe and the lands surrounding the Mediterranean (north Africa, Southwest Asia/the Middle East, Turkey, etc). All of this puts more profit into Roman pockets.
