Eric Posner, a professor at the University of Chicago Law School, and Glen Weyl, an economist at Microsoft Research New England, propose the idea that every American citizen should have the right to “sponsor” an immigrant, put that person to work, and then take a portion of their wages.

Their proposal will be called out for being a new form of indentured servitude.
