The vikings establish a slave trade that competes with the slave trades of southern Europe. The cities that will become known as Bristol, England and Dublin, Ireland are said to be the largest slave markets during the 1100s and 1200s; they will eventually become the primary ports for the North Atlantic Slave Trade.
