This United Nations (UN) council names Indigenous communities' knowledge and ways of knowing as integral to the survival of the planet, and calls for an: "immediate transformative change of economic, financial, and governance systems [that] will be essential to restore and protect Nature" (Cultural Survival, 2022). Additionally, the panel names over 1 million species that are currently in danger of extinction.
