U.S. Surgeon General and Black anesthesiologist Jerome Adams says that COVID-19 will take more casualties than other national tragedies such as Pearl Harbor and 9/11. This is a missed opportunity to reference other tragedies such as the colonization and massive genocide of Indigenous people & enslavement of African people or the massive incarceration and detainment of Black, Indigenous & People of Color.
