National Public Radio analyzes data that shows that people with developmental disabilities are far more likely to have a preexisting health condition, such as respiratory disease, that adds to their risk of death from COVID-19. They are also much more likely than other populations, including elderly people, to live in a setting with roommates and staff, such as group homes where up to 10 or more people live together.
