Democratic leaders call for monitoring of racial and ethnic health disparities during COVID-19.

In a letter to Alex Azar and the Department of Health and Human Services, Democratic representatives state that: "Despite the clear vulnerability of people of color in this public health emergency, comprehensive demographic data on the racial and ethnic characteristics of people who are tested or treated for COVID-19 does not exist" (Warren & Pressley et al, 2020).
