Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issues face covering recommendation.
Date: 04/03/2020
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public in areas with high numbers of COVID-19 cases. The face coverings, which can be made at home, are recommended when entering public spaces such as grocery stores and public transit stations. Wearing them is voluntary and there are no specific guidelines issued for the masks. This recommendation is watered down by the Trump administration from original guidelines which recommended face masks everywhere.
